First try at a cutting board from scratch. Got some maple planks from ocooch, cut, rounded the ends, sanded, oiled, waxed. Don't like the engrave tho, gonna have to work on that. Maybe I'll find something in Boyce's settings.

One of the presentations in the Laser Craft Fest was neonish signs. So I gave it a try. Prolly shoulda thought the light path thru a bit more but it works.

Ok, since all I could get outta the fiber for glass was black with TiO2, I figured I'd try the CO2. No it's not lined up, need to make a fixture for these, and I don't know what happened around the C. Didn't notice it till I was cropping the pic.

Figured out the engraving problem, it was set to crosshatch. Following Emily's advice (at least that who I thought said to do it) I used wet wipes on it to clean it off after the engrave and that lightened it up as well as got rid of the ...

JDS bamboo cutting board. First try on the CO2. I did line instead of fill, I couldn't turn the laser down enough, but I'll look into that more tomorrow. Also couldn't get Lightburn to frame a tool layer which was odd.
