Another Monday and another late post. This weekend was highlighted by a trip to Wisconsin so the boys and I could attend my youngest sibling's baby shower. Speaking of new family members... Join me in welcoming these folks to The MakerRemix!
Alright, well this one is late, even for me. The Mrs spent the better part of the day dragging me around Hobby Lobby and Menard's taking advantage of some good sales. Hit me up in the comments, where do you go to score holiday deals for your people?
Wow, have the last 7 days been a WEEK!!! We got our first snowfall here in SE Iowa, anybody else have that 4 letter word fall on their town? 😆 We also had a nice flurry of newcomers to our awesome platform last week (see what I did there?). Say hi!
Did a birth announcement sign for a coworker last weekend. It was my first clear acrylic engrave so I was nervous. Overall happy but maybe I need to defocus a tad next time to smooth out the lines? What do you think?
PSA. When cutting leather, or engraving it for that matter, use masking tape to all but eliminate any peripheral charring and end up with Uber clean lines. These coasters came out killer.
It's Thursday so I guess I missed a mid-week post but I got to fire up the lasers today after a long, exhausting start. With the 300mm lens I was able to get cylinder correction to work with some RTIC cups my local coffee shop likes to stick with.
Since I was busy taking in the awesomeness of LBX last Sunday, we have 2 weeks of welcomes and hellos to do! I hope you all got to see as much of LBX as you could, whether it be in person or via stream. Now let's welcome our newest makers to the Remix!
We're at the midway point of the week and I haven't fired any lasers yet. Show me what you have been working on so far this week and make me feel worse 😆
Please join me in welcoming all our new members to the MakerRemix this week! It's awesome that new people continue to join our network every week and I look forward to when the day comes that this is THE PLACE people go to share, learn and grow as Makers!
