I clicked on one of the images in the image gallery, and it generated an error.
Looks like I can't attach a picture here of the error, but I will try to generate it again and post the text here.

I can't reproduce the error. Was it every image or one in particular?

Just the one that I had tried.. it was the pic that said it looked one way with 6 beers, and upside down it looked the other way. If there is any way you guys can enable picture posting here, that would be a massive help :-)

I've added a ticket item for posting images in every post type, across the site. Will be a little bit before the devs can get to it because we're wrapping up development on the marketplace but it's on there now.

As for the 404 image error, I believe that when a photo is posted to a group - it appears in the images menu.
If that group is then set to private, I believe the photo remains and throws the 404 when clicked as the group is now private. It requires some testing but once I'm positive that's the case I'll add a ticket item for it. If anyone has free time and wants to test that to confirm just drop a reply here.
